Over The Edge is a special events company that provides signature events for non-profit organizations throughout the United States, Canada, along with other parts of the world.  Participants raise donations for a non-profit in exchange for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rappel ‘over the edge’ of a local high-rise building.

What You’ll Do:

In this dual role, the Accounts Receivable and Partnerships Associate supports both the Finance and Strategic Partnerships teams.

Accounts Receivable responsibilities:

  • Developing positive working relationships with clients’ accounting contacts, to allow for smooth payments and clearly understood best practices
  • Processing and monitoring incoming payments from clients; verifying and posting receipts
  • Following up with clients by phone and email to encourage timely payment

Partnerships Team responsibilities:

  • Use Salesforce CRM to support tracking and reporting of Strategic Partnerships activities and client success
  • Proactive outreach and follow up with Over The Edge clients via phone and email
  • Supporting the Strategic Partnerships team throughout the client journey

What You Need to Get the Job Done:

  • Degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field is considered an asset
  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Experience with Excel & Salesforce considered an asset
  • Ability to autonomously make decisions guided by our best practices, and be accountable for them
  • Ability to find creative solutions to client issues in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates a high rate of resilience and drive in the face of challenging and/or frustrating situations
  • Ability to have difficult conversations without feeling deflated
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to adapt to changing job requirements
  • Ability to work effectively and deliver results under deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Valid passport
